Liverpool fan names his daughter YNWA

A Liverpool fan in Norway wanted to name his daughter after something that related to his favorite club. And his wife came up with YNWA, after "You'll Never Walk Alone," the song Reds fans sing for their team.

”I’m probably not as interested in football, but it was actually my suggestion to call her “YNWA”,” the little girl’s mother told Dagbladet.

“He suggested ‘Gerrard’ before we knew if it was a boy or girl.”

The mother is actually a Tromso fan, but seeing as they’re a Norwegian club and Liverpool are in England, there’s no competition. And when the little girl turned five years old, they asked her if she wanted to change her name. She did, but she didn’t drop the YNWA. She just added Karoline.

“Her name is Karoline YNWA,” said her mother.

“We could not really force her to cheer Liverpool, but she is very proud of her name.”

Karoline, your middle name is YNWA. Your father, in good conscience, went to your mother and asked to name you Gerrard. She countered with YNWA. That’s as good as being forced to cheer for Liverpool so you should probably do it.
