Lukas Podolski leaves Arsenal for Inter Milan loan
The German forward is headed to Italy to restart his career.

Inter will be Podolski's fourth club: before Arsenal, he spent two spells with his hometown club FC Köln in Germany, either side of a spell at Bayern Munich. Though he showed glimpses of form while in London, he never truly established himself as a set member of the first team, and the arrival of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez over the summer relegated Podolski to a bit-part player. He leaves the London club having scored 31 goals in 81 games.
Despite inconsistencies at club level, however, Podolski has been a feature in Germany’s international side ever since winning his first cap in 2004, and has made 121 appearances for his country. Inter will be hoping that as well as goals, Podolski can bring pace and width to their squad, two things that have been sorely lacking in their slow start to the season.
