Sorry MLS fans, Cristiano Ronaldo wants to retire at Real Madrid

Rumors have swirled for years that Cristiano Ronaldo would play in Major League Soccer before his career ended, and he’s said that he’d consider playing in America. But don’t get your hopes up about that -- in an interview after he was awarded the European golden shoe, Ronaldo said he’d prefer to retire at Real Madrid.

“I’m 30 now and I’d like to keep playing for another five or six years. I know that it gets harder with age, but I believe it’s possible. As I’ve said several times before, my dream is to end my career at Real Madrid.”
