Jurgen Klinsmann names roster for USA vs. Mexico Confederations Cup playoff
The USMNT squad looks mostly how you’d expect, with some minor surprises.

Jurgen Klinsmann has picked his squad to face Mexico on October 10, and says he did so with an emphasis on players who “understand exactly now what this is all about.” With that in mind, Omar Gonzalez, Aron Johannsson and Mix Diskerud were left out of the USMNT squad, while Jonathan Spector makes a surprise return and Ventura Alvarado remains in the squad.
