Scary stuff in Paris Friday morning: an anonymous bomb threat was called in to Paris police regarding the Hotel Molitor, the western Paris hotel being used by the Germany national team ahead of their friendly with France scheduled for Friday night.

The entire hotel was quickly evacuated and the hotel was thoroughly searched while cordoned off by a security perimeter. Fortunately, the German team seemed to stay in fairly good spirits during the episode, using the situation as a good reason to spend a few hours at the Roland Garros tennis grounds, the site of the French Open.

For their part, French Open officials were just hoping the Germans kept their cleats off the clay.

By 2 p.m., a little over four hours after the threat was called in, the all-clear was given and the players were able to return to the hotel.
