Though Cristiano Ronaldo is not necessarily human and might play into his 40s, it’s possible that this is his last chance to win Euro 2016 as the focal point of Portugal’s attack. And lucky for him, he’s been handed a very good chance to win his group and secure a good position for the Round of 16. Austria and Iceland have some great star players, but aren’t quite on Portugal’s level. Hungary, meanwhile, will do excellently to snag a draw from any of their three games.

Lewandowski takes on Germany in Group C

While Germany will feel like they’re by far the best team in their group, they won’t be pleased to see Robert Lewandowski again. He was spectacular for Poland when the two sides met in Euro 2016 qualifying, and his team will need him to duplicate his performances if they’re going to get a result against Germany in the finals. Ukraine will like their chances of giving Poland problems and sneaking into second, while Northern Ireland will probably be thrilled to avoid blowouts.

England will be favorites to top their group at Euro 2016, but only just barely. They’ve got to go through a Russia team that’s been hot since making a coaching change, a Slovakian side that managed to beat Spain during qualifying, and most notably, local rivals Wales. Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey will be motivated to prove their team is the best one in the British Isles.

    France handed easy Group A

France were automatically placed into Group A for the Euro 2016 draw, and it was kind to them. Switzerland and Romania are no pushovers, but neither can be considered the best in their pot. And Albania, while they did well to qualify for the tournament, were gifted some points due to crowd trouble. They’re largely considered to be one of the weakest teams in the tournament.

The Euro 2016 draw is finally here. On Saturday, everyone who made the tournament will find out who they’ll face in the finals this June.

This is the first edition of the tournament that will feature 24 teams, which means we have some debutants. Iceland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Albania and Slovakia have made the tournament for the first time in their history. Both Austria and Ukraine are appearing for just the second time, and both were hosts on the occasion that they made the tournament, so this is the first time either has qualified.
