Everton beat Newcastle with miracle 93rd minute goal

The Toffees needed this badly.

Everton supporters are used to watching their team out-possess and out-shoot their opponents, then come up short. It looked like it was going to happen to them again on Boxing Day until Tom Cleverley came up huge in the 93rd minute against Newcastle.

The Toffees were in serious need of a moment like this. They've drawn four of their last six Premier League games and lost their last match to Manchester City. With the race for fourth place wide open and their most talented team in a decade, Everton supporters are expecting a push up the table.

On the other side, this couldn’t have been much more heartbreaking for Newcastle, who looked devastated by the loss. They’d avoided defeat in their last three straight games, taking seven points from those matches, but they’re back down in the relegation zone after this loss.
