Don’t want to get DQ’d like Real Madrid? Lock ineligible players in your equipment shed.

That’ll work.

Real Madrid fielded an ineligible player against Cadiz in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday, and they’re very likely to receive a punishment that alters or nullifies their victory. Cadiz’s opponents this weekend, Merida, also have a suspended player that they’re not allowed to play, and they’re going to make sure they don’t suffer the same fate as Madrid.

Their captain Jonathan Monago Vila picked up two yellow cards last weekend, which is a bit easier to remember than Denis Cheryshev accumulating yellow cards with a different team last season. Also, did y’all have to lock him in the boot room? It’s got to smell awful in there.
