Neymar and Lionel Messi combine to beat entire Levante team

Levante put 10 men in and around the penalty area. Messi and Neymar didn’t care.

Early in their match against Barcelona, Levante mostly just wanted to not concede. Whenever they lost possession, every one of their players made straight for their penalty area, trying to clog up space and not give Barcelona's attackers room to work with.

It didn’t help.

That note-perfect cross comes courtesy of Lionel Messi, with Neymar applying the arcing chip to get the ball over Levante's goalkeeper. It almost went over the bar, but Neymar took just enough off his shot that the ball's momentum died and it fell back down and in to goal before getting behind the crossbar.

It just goes to show that when you’re up against the elite of the elite, it doesn’t really matter what you do defensively. Messi and Neymar will find a way.
