Can Liverpool close the gap on top four and keep Manchester United out of Champions League?

Two months ago, Liverpool were struggling in the middle of the table and Brendan Rodgers’ job was in question. The Merseyside club looked like they had little chance of challenging for a Champions League spot. But some bold moves by Rodgers have sparked a revival, and Liverpool are knocking on the door of the top four.
They’re looking capable of catching and passing Manchester United, who would have to re-think their approach without Champions League football. They spent over £100m in the summer, plus brought in Falcao and his league-high wages on loan. Failure to finish top four would be a massive setback for them.
It's been a tough season for injuries for Manchester United, but they're finally close to getting healthy. Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw and James Wilson are all slight doubts, but could feature. Robin van Persie is the only top player they're missing for sure. Liverpool aren't missing their star players, but have four long-term absences -- Jordan Ibe, Jose Enrique, Jon Flanagan and Brad Jones.
