Akinfeev went down and was loaded onto a stretcher, but there’s no word on his condition at the moment. Play resumed about 20 minutes later, with Yuri Lodigin replacing Akinfeev in goal for Russia.
At halftime, there were discussions about calling off the game, UEFA decided to let it continue.
