Gibraltar score first ever competitive international soccer goal

Let’s all take a second to laugh at Scotland.

Coming into Sunday’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland, Gibraltar were the worst team on the continent. This is usually a fun race between Andorra and San Marino, but Gibraltar have taken the throne since being admitted to FIFA, and have the worst goal differential in qualifying. They also had not scored, until now.

Scotland, you have the distinction of being the team to allow Gibraltar’s first ever competitive international goal. And this was such a nice move that it’s a wonder it took this long. Congratulations to Lee Casciaro, who is a policeman.
