Real Madrid are already one of the best teams in the world. This summer, they're going to be even better, thanks in no small part to adding one of the best right backs in the game on Tuesday.

Real Madrid have also confirmed the capture of Danilo from FC Porto, securing potentially one of the biggest moves of the summer transfer window months before it even opens. The move has been rumored for weeks and was believed to have been agreed to by all parties recently, but with this announcement the move is now officially complete.

Danilo joined Porto from Brazilian club Santos in 2011 and the 23-year-old has since established himself as one of the best right backs in Europe. An influential attacking presence out wide, he’s also made steady improvements in defense, and is regarded as one of the rising stars in world football.

The Brazilian has made 34 all-competitions appearances for Porto this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists, including one of each in seven Champions League matches. His Champions League goal came in the away leg against Basel in the round of 16, helping propel his side to a 5-1 aggregate win and into the quarterfinal round. He’s also earned 16 caps with Brazil, scoring his first senior international goal against Turkey last year, though he was not part of their World Cup squad.
