Goalkeeper punts into his own teammate’s back to give up goal

Note to self: watch more Cypriot first division.

Meet Karim Fegrouche, a goalkeeper for Cypriot first division side AEL. Less than two minutes after his team scored to take the lead against Doxa, he did this.

It’s such an innocuous play that the TV coverage had no problem cutting away from the goalkeeper. How hard is it to not punt the ball into the back of your own dang teammate?

AEL, by the way, went to bail out their keeper and win the game 2-1.
