The Champions League semifinal draw is here, and we'll shortly know who will face who in the penultimate round of the top club competition in Europe. With Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Juventus all in the pot, we've got four of the best clubs around competing for a place in the final in Berlin, but only two of these clubs can take that final step.
UEFA Champions League draw 2015: Time, TV schedule for the Semifinal draw
How to watch the draw from anywhere in the world.
So who will be drawn together? Will it be Real Madrid and Barcelona, giving us another El Clasico matchup to enjoy this season? The Spanish giants have faced off in eight European matches, with Real Madrid winning three of them and Barcelona two. With the way this season has gone, would Barcelona surpass their arch-rivals in that record with a two-legged tie at hand?
That would give us another tilt between Bayern Munich and Juventus, two titans in their countries who have butted heads several times over the last decade. This would be their second straight knockout round battle, with the pair facing off in the quarterfinals two years ago, when Bayern won handily by a 4-0 aggregate scoreline. Both teams are much improved since then, though, and it would be a very different tie this time around.
Those two matchups would be the dream draw, but any of the possible pairings between these four clubs would be exciting to watch unfold. Interestingly, the last time each of these semifinal clubs were in this round, they faced one of the other three: Bayern lost to Real Madrid a year ago, but trounced Barcelona in 2013, the last time Barca made it this far. For Juventus, this is their first Champions League semifinal since 2003, when they triumphed 4-3 over Real Madrid before falling to fellow Italians AC Milan in the final.
