Check out this amazing own goal from the Dutch second division

Whoopsies.

On Friday night, Oss defender Jordi Balk scored this spectacular own goal in a match against Eindhoven. What was he even trying to do here? Where did he think the ball was going to go? Out for a throw?

Not only was this own goal hilarious, but it was important. Eindhoven went on to win the match 2-1, and they’re comfortably second in the Eerste Divisie, so they’ll be the top seed in the promotion playoffs. Oss are now six points behind the final playoff place, so they’re almost certainly not going up this season.
