Celta Vigo vs. Real Madrid live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Can Celta Vigo make the La Liga title race even tighter?

Real Madrid will look to keep the pressure on La Liga leaders Barcelona with a win over mid-table Celta de Vigo on Sunday. Heading into the round, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are just a couple of points adrift of their Catalan rivals with six games left to play. It’s a title race that could well go down to the wire.

Real Madrid won the reverse fixture 3-0 at the Bernabéu back in December, though they certainly shouldn’t be expecting an easy game here. Celta are enjoying a solid season under Argentine coach Eduardo Berizzo, and they look set for another very comfortable mid-table finish. They’ve won their last couple of games, and will be looking to make the most of their sturdy defence to pull off a big upset.

Key player - Javier Hernández (Real Madrid)

Javier Hernández hasn't had a prolific season since joining the Merengues on loan from Manchester United in the summer, though a recent injury to Karim Benzema has handed him a big opportunity in the first team. He took it by scoring the winning goal against Atlético Madrid in midweek, and he'll be hoping he's given another chance to shine in this fixture.

Key Matchup - Cristiano Ronaldo vs. Hugo Mallo

Celta Vigo's young right-back Hugo Mallo has long been tipped as a talent, and he's delivered on his promise in a solid season so far. However, he's going to have a very tough task against Real Madrid's star attacker Cristiano Ronaldo in this match. Ronaldo has only scored once in his last three games in all competitions, but that such form is considered a drought tells you all you need to know about the Portuguese attacker. He's scored 39 goals in 29 league appearances this season, and you'd be brave to bet against him scoring again here.

Celta Vigo injuries and suspensions

Out: Carles Planas, Borja Oubiña (knee). In doubt: Nemanja Radoja (groin).

Real Madrid injuries and suspensions

Out: Luka Modrić (thigh). In doubt: Gareth Bale (calf), Karim Benzema (knee).

Full-back Carles Planes and midfielder Borja Oubiña will both miss out again for Celta Vigo, though young Serbian defender Nemanja Radoja could be involved. Real Madrid will still be without Luka Modrić, while Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale remain strong doubts.
