Didier Drogba carried off by teammates in final Chelsea game

On Sunday, Didier Drogba announced that Chelsea's match against Sunderland would be his last for the club. Jose Mourinho gave him a start, and then before halftime, substituted him off to make sure he got the standing ovation he deserved.

And not only that, his teammates carried him off while the referee applauded.

Drogba scored the goal that sent Chelsea to extra time against Bayern Munich in the 2012 Champions League final, which they went on to win. He then spent two years in China and Turkey before returning to Chelsea for a farewell season. He’s won 12 trophies with the club, and leaves as one of their greatest players of all time.
