Randy Lerner is selling Aston Villa, and at least one of the potential suitors appears to be ready to make it part of a Pozzo family-like empire. Former Arsenal and England defender Tony Adams is trying to raise funds to buy Villa, as well as shares in other European clubs.

There aren’t too many details about Adams’ plans floating around yet, but it sounds like he’s interested in creating a pipeline for young players from other countries to Villa, as well as creating a place where younger signings can get playing time or work permits. Lerner failed to sell Villa last year, but there appears to be quite a bit of interest this time around.
