Ivory Coast vs. Thailand, 2015 World Cup: Start time, TV schedule and live stream

Can one of these minnows win to give themselves a shot to advance?

The Ivory Coast and Thailand both suffered heavy losses in their World Cup openers, and look like they’re not quite at World Cup level yet. But if either team can get all three points in their meeting on Thursday, they might have a chance to pull off a miracle advancement to the second round of the tournament.

While Thailand looked the more competitive of these two sides against high-level opposition, they also played the weaker team. Norway is good, but Germany is the best in the world. Is losing 4-0 to Norway really that much better than 10-0 to Germany? We should find out from this match.

Sadly, while a win would give either team a shot to advance, goal differential might be their downfall. Group F is the only group in which two weaker teams have drawn each other, so it's not a given that three points will get a team to the second round. Ivory Coast will need a lot of help to make it, while Thailand likely need a multiple-goal win and a very good performance against Germany.
