Republic of Ireland vs. Scotland, Euro 2016 qualifying: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

It’s a near must-win for Ireland, who trail Scotland for a playoff spot.

When the Euro 2016 qualifying draw was made, it looked like there might be room for both the Republic of Ireland and Scotland in the finals. But Poland have been surprisingly excellent thus far, and there might only be room for one of them.

Scotland, currently sitting in a playoff spot, will look to defend their position against Ireland on Saturday. The Irish are two points behind, having lost away to Scotland and drawn Poland at home. However, they played one more away game than home game in the first pass through the group, and they earned an impressive draw away to world champions Germany.

Due to a lack of playing time and form, the Republic of Ireland have opted to leave Darron Gibson off this squad. Scotland have a small handful of fairly notable, but not shocking omissions, like Allan McGregor and Jordan Rhodes.
