Costa Rica vs. Brazil, 2015 World Cup: Time, TV schedule and live stream

Don’t expect to see Brazil’s best.

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

It’s been a great World Cup so far for Brazil, who have recorded a pair of shutout wins. They’ve already secured top spot in Group E ahead of their final group stage match against Costa Rica, who enter the game in second place.

Las Ticas have been excellent so far, earning draws against Spain and South Korea sides that most thought to be superior to them before the tournament. Their midfield trio of Katherine Alvarado, Shirley Cruz and Raquel Rodriguez has been sensational, proving that they have the ability to play with everyone.

And they'll probably have little problem playing with Brazil on Wednesday, just because they're unlikely to see the best version of the South American champions. Formica, Marta, Christiane and other Brazil stars have quite a few miles on their legs and might welcome a rest. With first place already locked up, there's no reason for them to play their biggest stars. That's great news for Costa Rica, and bad news for groupmates Spain and South Korea.
