South Korea vs. Spain, 2015 World Cup: Time, TV schedule and live stream

Both teams need a win, or they’re out.

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

The two teams who were expected to compete for second and third in Group E find themselves in a must-win situation on Wednesday. If South Korea or Spain loses or draws their final group match, they will be eliminated from the Women’s World Cup.

It wasn’t supposed to be this way. Both were expected to lose to Brazil, beat Costa Rica, and have a chance to go through as one of the top third-placed teams regardless of their result in this game. Instead, if this match ends in a draw, the third-placed team from this group will not progress. Las Ticas managed to steal a draw from each of them, setting up this must-win scenario.

Spain have been one of the most disappointing teams in the entire tournament thus far. Star Vero Boquette has been flashy, but hasn't produced much in the way of goals and assists, not that she's gotten much help from her teammates. The Spain attack hasn't done anything besides wait for Boquette to make plays. South Korea have been in a similar boat, relying too much on Ji So-yun. Will someone put in a real team attacking performance on Wednesday?
