Backheel Breakfast: Gonzalo Jara told Edinson Cavani his dad was going to prison

Gonzalo Jara has been suspended for the rest of Copa America for sticking his finger up Edinson Cavani’s butt, then diving when the Uruguay striker came nowhere near hitting him. That’s what we can see on video, but what we apparently can’t see is Jara taunting Cavani over his dad’s legal issues. Cavani’s father was involved in a fatal car accident the day before the game, and Uruguay assistant coach Mario Rebollo says Jara taunted him over it.

“Not only did Jara touch Cavani as we saw in the pictures, but he also said something about what had happened the previous day. He said that Cavani’s father was going to get 20 years [in prison].”

What a nice guy.
