John Brooks finishes gorgeous USMNT team goal

It’s pretty common to see a central defender win the ball high up the pitch, make a simple pass to a midfielder, then continue his run forward. It’s pretty rare to see that result in him finishing off a move like a striker. That’s exactly what John Brooks did here, doing excellently to finish off this cross by DeAndre Yedlin, after a through ball by Michael Bradley.
The Netherlands still lead the United States, 3-2, but this was encouraging stuff.
