Costa Rica vs. El Salvador, 2015 Gold Cup live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Los Ticos should bounce back with a win -- and they need to.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Costa Rica weren’t expected to upset Mexico or the United States en route to a CONCACAF Gold Cup victory thanks to the large number of players they’re missing through injury, but they were certainly expected to win their opening game. Instead, they struggled in a draw against Jamaica, and now need to come up with a victory over El Salvador to regain control of Group B.

El Salvador are in a similarly precocious position after failing to win what should have been their easiest group stage game, against Canada, Because of their failure to beat the Canadians, they’ll need to record an upset victory in one of their last two games if they want to advance.

Veteran Alvaro Saborio started the last game on the bench, and youngster David Ramírez rewarded his boss Paulo Wanchope for the start by scoring a goal. Fellow youngsters Keyner Brown and Deyver Vega were also given chances off the bench. Wanchope clearly wants to start giving chances to a younger generation of talent, but after drawing the first match, he might want to put out his most experienced players and make sure Costa Rica grab all three points.
