Haiti vs. Jamaica, Gold Cup 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream

The winner should give the United States a solid semifinal test.

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

The United States are looking like Gold Cup favorites, but the tournament’s second-best team isn’t one of their traditional challengers. Instead, it appears to be Jamaica, who won their group comfortably, pulling off a thrilling 2-2 draw against Costa Rica in the process.

Garath McCleary has been one of Gold Cup’s top players, scoring twice, while the Jamaica defense was excellent in their latter two games. They’ve kept the core of a team that was competitive during the last World Cup qualifying cycle together, while introducing a few new dual nationals that declared for them in the last year.

Haiti turned in a surprising performance in their final group stage game, defeating Honduras to grab second place in their group, on four points. They played three teams about as good as Jamaica or better in the group stage and were competitive in all of those games, so they won’t be a pushover here.

Jamaica will be without Darren Mattocks for this game after he picked up a red card against El Salvador. Both Simon Dawkins and Jobi McAnuff rested for that game and could return to face Haiti. The Haitians have tried out three different formations in this tournament, so how they line up to face Jamaica is anyone's guess.
