Carlos Tevez scores his first Boca Juniors goal in nearly 11 years

It took three matches, but he’s finally scored for his boyhood club again.

Since rejoining Boca Juniors after almost 11 years away, former Juventus star Carlos Tevez has played two matches without scoring a goal. That's not so unusual, really, as it often takes strikers some time to settle in and get into scoring form, but in Wednesday night's Copa Argentina match against Banfield, Tevez decided he'd waited long enough.

While Tevez has certainly scored flashier and more impressive goals in his career, it’s still a well-worked free kick to navigate the wall and catch the goalkeeper leaning the wrong way. It’s also a goal 11 years in the making, with time spent at Corinthians West Ham, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Juventus along the way.

Welcome home, Carlitos.
