Backheel Breakfast: Tottenham Hotspur snag huge NFL deal

Tottenham Hotspur got some great news a few months ago when they reached a settlement for the last business occupying space they needed to build their new stadium, and they’ve announced some seriously grand plans for the ground.
The biggest news that came out of Wednesday’s release is that they’ve signed a deal with the NFL. There will be at least two games per season at the stadium starting in 2018 and running all the way through 2027. Wembley Stadium has needed to be aggressive about filling dates to pay for the stadium, so that’s a big loss for them -- unless the NFL is in full London expansion mode three years from now.
