Arsenal vs. Liverpool live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch the EPL online

It’s been a shaky start for Arsenal and Liverpool. They’re both in need of a statement win.

With questions swirling about the lack of depth and average play that we’ve seen from Chelsea and Manchester United so far, the Premier League title race looks like it could be pretty wide open. Arsenal and Liverpool haven’t exactly looked spectacular in their first two games, but they’ll feel like they can push on towards the top spot with a win in Monday’s marquee matchup.

Liverpool are waiting for Daniel Sturridge to return to add some punch to their attack, but Christian Benteke is settling in just fine, and scored a goal against Bournemouth last week. It was an offside goal, sure, but it still gave Liverpool the three points. Fellow new signings Joe Gomez and James Milner look good too, so Brendan Rodgers is probably feeling great about himself.

Arsenal -- and Petr Cech especially -- looked bad in their opening loss to West Ham. But the Gunners bounced back last week by getting a great result, a win away to Crystal Palace. It wasn’t a spectacular performance, though, and their fans will be expecting more against Liverpool.

What are the stakes?

If this game has a winner, that team’s title credentials will be discussed and not entirely discarded. The loser’s top four credentials will be called into question, and if Arsenal is the team that loses, the narrative will be that Arsene Wenger needs to sign two world class players before the end of the transfer window.

New player to watch - Roberto Firmino

With Adam Lallana trying to shake off a knock, this might be the game Firmino finally gets into the starting XI. He’s looked a tad off the pace in his substitute appearances, but he’s going to get better with each week in training with his Liverpool teammates and might be ready to make an impact from the start now.
