Tottenham Hotspur are off to a tough start this season, and are still searching for their first win. They’ll expect to post it at home against Everton, though they can only be considered minor favorites.
Tottenham Hotpsur vs. Everton 2015 live stream: Start time, TV schedule and how to watch online
Spurs and Everton are a bit more focused on the transfer window than Saturday’s game.

Everton’s last few weeks have centered more around the John Stones transfer saga than anything taking place on the pitch, and that’s unfortunate given how well they played against Southampton. The Toffees insist that he is not for sale, no matter what Chelsea offers.
Stones started mid-week against Barnsley in the League Cup, and Everton got to see the consequences of using a player who has his mind elsewhere. Their prodigal defender didn’t look like himself at all, and will have Roberto Martinez questioning whether to use him. Benching him gives Chelsea leverage and will encourage them to make another bid -- and Stones will likely get on with his job with a clear head once the window closes -- but playing him again in this match could mean three points dropped.
Key matchup -- Eric Dier vs. Ross Barkley
Spurs sold off three senior midfielders this summer and only brought in one, youngster Dele Alli. That forced young defender Eric Dier to a defensive midfield role, and he’s performed well. He’ll have his hands full on Saturday, though -- Ross Barkley is off to a spectacular start this season. Given how unfamiliar Memphis Depay looked with a central role in Spurs’ opener, this will be the toughest task Dier has faced thus far.
Will Son Heung-min make an impact?
Probably not. Getting a work permit is just a formality for Tottenham’s marquee summer signing, but the club hadn’t announced that he’d obtained one as of Friday night. He was also reportedly ill last week, and only has one training session with his new club. It’ll be a surprise if he makes the 18-man squad, which is pretty bad news given that Christian Eriksen is out. Clinton N’Jie should be available for Spurs, though.
