Kevin De Bruyne scores his first Manchester City goal

Not a bad way to get rolling for your new team.

Manchester City's biggest summer signing was Kevin De Bruyne, and he made his long-awaited first start against West Ham United on Saturday. City fans were happy to see him play, and will be even happier to see this, his first goal in a City shirt.

Maybe De Bruyne didn’t get as much as he wanted to on that shot, but the result was what he was looking for: the ball finding the back of the net. Adrian read it well, but it curled just far enough away from him to find the corner of the goal. Given that City were trailing 2-0 at the time, it was a much-needed goal not just for De Bruyne, but for his new team as well.
