Jurgen Klinsmann has picked USMNT No. 1 goalkeeper to face Mexico
Brad Guzan has beaten Tim Howard to the job.

Tim Howard has ended his international sabbatical, but he’s not walking right back into the starting role for the USMNT. Brad Guzan will remain the No. 1 goalkeeper for the team’s two upcoming friendlies and the Confederations Cup playoff against Mexico on October 10.
“Brad is the No. 1. Tim is the No. 2,” said head coach Jurgen Klinsmann on Wednesday. “Once we’ve got the Mexico game hopefully successfully out of the way, then we can think about how we can split maybe some time. But now it’s really about getting consistency with the players and getting a job done in October.”
