Germany vs. Poland live stream: Start time, TV schedule and how to watch Euro 2016 qualifying online

It’s a near-must-win for Germany after they lost to Poland in the second round of qualifying fixtures.

UEFA expanded the field for Euro 2016 to 24 teams, meaning two teams qualify directly to the finals from each qualifying group, and it’s served to make the top teams complacent. One of the suffering favorites is Germany, who currently sit second in Group D behind their opponents on Friday, Poland.

Poland was not expected to finish top two in this group, and they still face a fight to do it. Scotland are only three points behind them and the Republic of Ireland aren’t out of it yet, sitting just five back. Poland could get sent out of the top spots very quickly.

But Germany are in plenty of trouble too. If they fail to win this match, they might go into the last international break in the playoff spots. They play Scotland next week, and they’re favored to pick up three points against Georgia in Friday’s early match.

Marco Reus, Sami Khedira, Benedikt Höwedes and Holger Badstuber are among those missing for Germany due to injury concerns. Sven Bender and Julian Draxler are fit, but have not been selected. Poland have everyone available to them, with Sebastian Boenisch being their most surprising omission.

When they last met

Poland pulled off one of the biggest upsets of Euro 2016 qualifying, which is saying a lot, considering how many big names have struggled. Germany never really got their attack going in a 2-0 win for the Poles. The defending World Cup champions will expect to post a much better result on Friday, and they need to with Scotland on their heels.

Key player -- Robert Lewandowski

While Poland have a deep corps of very solid players, they only have one genuinely world class talent, and they find it difficult to compete with the world’s best teams if he’s not firing on all cylinders. Lewandowski will need to be Poland’s best creator and scoring threat against Germany.
