By beating Swansea City 2-1, United broke their eight-game winless streak, their longest since the 1960s. This goal was also Rooney’s first in two months. Louis van Gaal was expected to lose his job if United lost, but he’ll be sticking around for a bit longer after picking up three points on Saturday.
