Luis Suarez continues to succeed at making everyone really mad at him
The good news is he didn’t bite or racially abuse anyone this time around.

Luis Suarez and Papakouli Diop got into a couple of different fights during and after Wednesday’s Copa del Rey match between Catalan rivals Barcelona and Espanyol. Diop was shown a red card for directing vulgar insults in Suarez’s direction, following an incident where Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez stepped on Lionel Messi. After the game, Suarez reportedly shouted “I’m waiting for you, come here! You’re a waste of space!” at the Espanyol players in the tunnel. Coaches and security guards had to separate the two teams.
“[The press] have spent all week saying we are violent and this has had its effect,” said Diop after the game, referring to coverage of Espanyol’s 0-0 draw with the Blaugrana in La Liga. “[Barcelona’s players] are really good and if you cannot even touch them, they can do what they want. You cannot say we were violent. There wasn’t any blood -- if we had wanted to, the Barça players would have gone off on stretchers.”
We’re looking forward to the next UFC event in Catalonia.
