Chelsea vs. Everton 2016: Game time, live stream, TV schedule, and 3 things to know

Chelsea will look to maintain their recent good form at home to Everton on Saturday.

Antonio Conte made a shaky start to life as Chelsea manager, though four straight league wins have seen the Blues back on track. They head into this weekend’s encounter with Everton just a point adrift of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool, who are all tied at the top after 10 rounds. They’ll certainly be confident of maintaining their momentum in Saturday’s late kickoff.

Everton, meanwhile, have been rather inconsistent in the league of late, with Ronald Koeman’s side having gone four games without a win before bouncing back with a victory against West Ham United last time out. They’re only four points and two places adrift of Chelsea in the table, though they’ll know greater consistency is needed if they’re to seriously challenge for a place in the top five this season.

Their task away at Stamford Bridge is complicated by a string of injury problems: Muhamed Bešić, Tyias Browning, Matthew Pennington, and James McCarthy are injured; Idrissa Gueye is suspended; and Maarten Stekelenburg, Leighton Baines, and Arouna Koné all face late fitness tests. Chelsea will likely have to do without Kurt Zouma and Marco van Ginkel, while Cesc Fàbregas and John Obi Mikel remain early doubts. However, Conte should still be able to name an unchanged team from the side that saw off Southampton last weekend.

Three big things to know

1. Not since January of 2014 have Chelsea sealed a run of five consecutive Premier League wins in a single season. They went on to finish that season in third place, though won the league title under José Mourinho the following year without ever achieving such a hot streak.

2. Everton have been something of a bogey team for Chelsea recently, with the Toffees winning two of their last three meetings. However, not since 1994 have Everton managed to pull off a league victory at Stamford Bridge, with home advantage having proven particularly strong in this fixture.

3. Continuing that theme, Chelsea have a better home record than anyone else in the Premier League so far this season. With the exception of a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, Conte's side have managed to win all of their league matches in front of their own supporters -- including a thoroughly impressive 4-0 drubbing of Manchester United in their last match at Stamford Bridge.
