Premier League leaders Chelsea will look to extend their advantage at the top of the table when they play host to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. Antonio Conte's side head into the encounter on the back of eight consecutive league victories — and unencumbered by continental football, they have established themselves as the division's early title favorites. They'll be hoping to cement that status this weekend.

However, they take on a West Brom side who are going surprisingly well so far this season. Tony Pulis's side headed into the weekend flying high in seventh place, already nine points clear of the relegation zone. They've won three of their last four league matches and will be out to cause an upset at the Bridge on Sunday.

Three big things to know

1. Chelsea took a battering in their win away at Manchester City last weekend, with both Pedro and Diego Costa picking up knocks. They're doubtful for this match. John Obi Mikel, Nemanja Matic, Marco van Ginkel, and Kurt Zouma could also all miss out; John Terry and Oscar are definitely out.

2. Boaz Myhill and Saido Berahino will miss out for West Brom; James Morrison and Gareth McAuley are doubtful.

3. West Brom haven’t won away at Chelsea since 1978. That season, the Baggies finished third in the table, while Chelsea ended up rock bottom, having amassed just 20 points from their 42 games.
