Manchester City will look to record their third straight Premier League victory on Boxing Day, and close down the seven-point gap currently separating them from table toppers Chelsea. Pep Guardiola’s side will certainly be expecting all three points, with Hull City having struggled hugely since their return to the top flight in the summer.
Hull City vs. Manchester City 2016: Start time, live stream, TV schedule, and 3 things to know
Title chasers Manchester City take on struggling Hull City on Boxing Day.

They’ve only won three times in the league all season, and two of those wins came back in August. If Mike Phelan’s side are to take anything from this match, they’ll need a Christmas miracle. They’ve picked up just two points from their last six Premier League encounters, and with what is the weakest squad in the division, they’re set for a long relegation dogfight.

Three big things to know
1. Hull’s difficulties are compounded by a very lengthy injury list: Moses Odubajo, Alex Bruce, Greg Luer, Abel Hernández, and Will Keane are all definitely unavailable; Allan McGregor and Brian Lenihan are doubtful. For City, Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gündogan are injured, while Sergio Agüero will miss this one through suspension. Fabian Delph and Pablo Zabaleta face late fitness tests.
2. Manchester City have won four of the last five meetings between these two sides. Not since 2010 have the Tigers managed to defeat City. That season, Hull went on to be relegated with Burnley and Portsmouth; City finished fifth.
3. Hull have scored fewer goals this season than anyone in the Premier League. Their defensive record isn’t much better: only Swansea City have ceded more.
