On Oct. 3, Bob Bradley was appointed as manager of Swansea City. He was out of a job before 2017 rolled around. On Tuesday, Swansea announced that Bradley had been relieved of his duties, just one day after a 4-1 defeat to West Ham United.
Bob Bradley fired by Swansea City after less than 3 months in charge
The Swans had lost their last three matches in embarrassing fashion.

Swansea has won just twice with Bradley in charge, with both victories coming at home against fellow regulation battlers, Crystal Palace and Sunderland. He had two draws during his tenure, but seven losses.
In recent games, Swansea’s defense has struggled badly. They’ve lost 5-0 to Tottenham Hotspur, 3-1 to West Bromwich Albion, and 3-0 to Middlesbrough, as well as their aforementioned Boxing Day defeat.
Bradley was the first American to manage in the Premier League, and his use of Americanisms sparked debates about the language we use to describe soccer (or football, depending on your preferences.) But ultimately, Bradley’s defining legacy will not be saying “PK” or “field,” but coaching a team with an extremely poor defense. That’s what got him fired.
Wales manager Chris Coleman and former Manchester United assistant Ryan Giggs are the favorites to take over at Swansea. But the Swans have shown a willingness to hire off-the-radar candidates, like they did with Bradley. It would certainly be amusing to see Jürgen Klinsmann become Bradley’s successor for the second time.
Swansea sits 19th in the Premier League on 12 points and a goal differential of minus-20. They’re four points from safety.
