Liverpool will look to close Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premier League table to just a point on Sunday, when they travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth. Jürgen Klopp's side haven't lost a single game since the second of the season, and have established themselves as serious title contenders. They'll be expecting to take all three points from the Cherries.

For their part, Bournemouth have made a solid if unspectacular start to the season. Eddie Howe’s side currently sit 12th in the table, four points clear of the bottom three. Though they should have more than enough to avoid relegation this season, it’s not looking like they’ll be able to achieve anything more than that.

Three big things to know

1. Bournemouth will be without Lewis Cook and Andrew Surman through injury, while Jordan Ibe, Artur Boruc and Charlie Daniels all face late fitness tests. Philippe Coutinho, Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge are sidelined for Liverpool, while Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino are among those in doubt.

2. Liverpool have a good record against Bournemouth, having won all five of their meetings in recent history. Not since 1968, when the Cherries were known as Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic, have they managed to avoid defeat against Liverpool.

3. Liverpool average more shots per game than anyone else in the Premier League, with almost 20. Bournemouth's backup keeper Adam Federici, who has been between the sticks in the absence of Artur Boruc, should be set for a busy afternoon.
