Antonio Conte will leave Italy, but hasn’t confirmed Chelsea move

Antonio Conte isn’t the Chelsea manager yet, but he’ll certainly be managing some club team next season. On Tuesday, he confirmed that he’ll be stepping down from his Italy post after Euro 2016, saying that he feels he “must go back to being a coach in a club to have the opportunity of coaching every day.”

Conte is currently involved in legal proceedings for failure to report match fixing. He’s not expected to serve jail time or be banned from the game for an extended period of time, but clubs will want to know the outcome of those proceedings before hiring him.
