England will welcome the Netherlands to Wembley on Tuesday, with Roy Hodgson's side looking to build on their excellent comeback win over Germany on the weekend. The Three Lions roared back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against the reigning World Cup champions, and have failed to win only three times since they were eliminated from the tournament. Germany would go on to win in Brazil back in 2014.

The Netherlands, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat at home to France. Still reeling from the death of national legend Johan Cruyff, Danny Blind's side fought back from two down before eventually conceding a last-gasp winner to Les Bleus midfielder Blaise Matuidi. A disastrous qualifying campaign has ensured the Oranje won't be going to the European Championships later this summer, giving their coach a little more freedom to experiment.

Key player: Dele Alli (England)

In order to avoid incurring the wrath of several Premier League managers, Roy Hodgson will likely rotate the team that won away in Berlin over the weekend -- and that could mean seeing Dele Alli drop out of the starting lineup. That would be a great shame for the England supporters, with the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder having been instrumental in an all-action display against Germany. If he does play, he could well make the difference.

Recent history

England will be going for their first win over the Netherlands since Euro ‘96, when Alan Shearer and Teddy Sheringham each netted a brace as England romped to a 4-1 win in the group stages. On the Dutch team that day was Jordi Cruyff, son of the late Johan. Since then these sides have drawn four times in friendlies, with the Dutch winning the two others -- including their last visit to Wembley in 2012.
