Germany vs. Italy 2016 live stream: Game time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Italy will look to maintain their good record against Germany in Tuesday’s friendly.

Germany will look to bounce back from their weekend defeat to England when they welcome Italy to Munich on Tuesday. Joachim Löw's side threw away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 against Roy Hodgson's Three Lions, and have now lost three of their last four matches. Still, having won the last World Cup in Brazil, they're still a highly talented squad, and are unlikely to be overly concerned by their recent form.

Italy, on the other hand, have rather more reason to worry. Antonio Conte's side failed to impress en route to qualification for this summer's European Championships, and are also winless in three. They held Spain to a draw in Udine on Friday, but it seems clear that the Azzurri need to turn in some more impressive performances if they're to achieve anything in France in a few months' time.

Key player: Mesut Özil (Germany)

Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Özil may not have turned in his greatest performance in the recent defeat to England, but he still had reason to celebrate. Before kickoff he was presented an award as the German player of the year, on the back of some thoroughly impressive displays in Arsenal’s recent good run. He’s comfortably the Premier League’s top assister, and will surely capitalise on any holes Italy leave in defence.

Recent history

Italy have won four of their last six matches against Germany, and are unbeaten against Die Mannschaft in a run stretching back two decades. Not since these sides met in a friendly back in 1995 have Germany triumphed against their Italian opponents.
