Brazil vs. Paraguay 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch World Cup qualifying online

Brazil could have a harder game than anticipated when they travel to face Paraguay in Asunción in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier. The hosts have made a solid start to their campaign, taking points off Argentina and Ecuador en route to fourth place in the table. Only tiebreakers keep them below Brazil, and they'll be hoping home advantage propels them towards a shock result.

Paraguay will also take heart from the absences of both Neymar and David Luiz, who picked up bookings as Brazil squandered a two-goal lead to draw with Uruguay last time out. That leaves coach Dunga needing to shuffle his pack at both ends of the field. Finally, Brazil head into the match still looking for their first away win of the entire qualifying campaign.

Key player: Juan Iturbe (Paraguay)

One to watch in this match is certainly Bournemouth attacker Juan Iturbe, who looks set to make his first competitive appearance since changing his international allegiance back to Paraguay. It comes seven years after he made his debut in 2009, shortly after which he declared for the country of his birth, Argentina. He’s an excellent player when on form, and could well make the difference for Paraguay.

Recent history

Paraguay have won two consecutive meetings against Brazil, with the most recent coming when they dumped Dunga’s side out of the Copa América at the quarterfinal stage last summer. Not since a 2009 World Cup qualifier have Brazil won one of these clashes, and not since an international friendly way back in 1980 have the Seleção won away in Asunción.
