Premier League leaders Leicester City will look to move a step closer to pulling off one of the all-time great sporting achievements on Saturday when they travel to face mid-table side Watford. Claudio Ranieri's side stuttered in a draw at home to West Bromwich Albion in midweek, though slip-ups from the three teams immediately trailing them allowed the Foxes to extend their lead at the top of the table to three points.

They'll look to get back to winning ways against Watford, but that could be easier said than done. Quique Sánchez Flores' side have adapted to life in the top flight superbly, and find themselves only three points off the 40-point holy grail with 10 rounds to play. They were excellent away at Manchester United on Wednesday, and should really have won a game they ended up losing to a Juan Mata free kick in the dying moments.

Key player: Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)

Only Arsenal's Mesut Özil has created more goals in the Premier League this season than Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez. Jamie Vardy may have been the main headline-grabber, but his Franco-Algerian teammate has arguably been even more instrumental in the Foxes' success. Young Watford left back Nathan Aké will have to turn in an excellent performance if he's going to keep Mahrez quiet.

Recent history

Leicester City have won three of their last five meetings with Watford, including the reverse fixture at the King Power Stadium in November. They also won 3-0 on their last visit to Vicarage Road en route to their title-winning Championship campaign in 2013-14. Little would they have imagined back then that two seasons later they’d be serious candidates to add the top flight to their trophy cabinet.

Watford injuries and suspensions

Out: José Manuel Jurado (calf); Joel Ekstrand (hamstring). In doubt: None.

Leicester City injuries and suspensions

Out: Matty James (knee); N'Golo Kanté (hamstring). In doubt: None.

Watford will be without playmaker Jurado and defender Ekstrand, but coach Flores will still be able to name his best starting lineup.

The same can’t be said of Leicester, who will be without one of their star men in the superb Kanté. He’s sidelined alongside a fellow central midfielder, James.
