When Liverpool went down 2-0 to Borussia Dortmund in the first ten minutes of their Europa League match, trailing the aggregate score 3-1 and down multiple away goals, it looked like the dreams of Anfield celebrating a Europa League title were dead and gone. When Dortmund scored a third to go up 3-1 in the match and 4-2 on aggregate, things looked hopeless. Then Philippe Coutinho scored to give them a chance, and Mamadou Sakho scored to even the score, but still it wasn't enough -- the away goals tiebreaker rule meant that Dortmund would advance anyways.

Somehow, some way, James Milner lofted a cross that only Dejan Lovren could reach, and his header miraculously found the back of the net. Liverpool won the match 4-3 and the tie by a 5-4 aggregate, a miracle comeback the likes of which we rarely see. This is a game that's going to be talked about for a long time -- but first, Liverpool fans will have to stop celebrating, and Dortmund fans will need some time to get over the shock.
