Liverpool complete stunning comeback with last-gasp goal to beat Dortmund

And listen to the announcers go crazy.

When Liverpool went down 2-0 to Borussia Dortmund in the first ten minutes of their Europa League match, trailing the aggregate score 3-1 and down multiple away goals, it looked like the dreams of Anfield celebrating a Europa League title were dead and gone. When Dortmund scored a third to go up 3-1 in the match and 4-2 on aggregate, things looked hopeless. Then Philippe Coutinho scored to give them a chance, and Mamadou Sakho scored to even the score, but still it wasn't enough -- the away goals tiebreaker rule meant that Dortmund would advance anyways.

Then, in the final gasping moments of the match, a miracle occurred.

Somehow, some way, James Milner lofted a cross that only Dejan Lovren could reach, and his header miraculously found the back of the net. Liverpool won the match 4-3 and the tie by a 5-4 aggregate, a miracle comeback the likes of which we rarely see. This is a game that's going to be talked about for a long time -- but first, Liverpool fans will have to stop celebrating, and Dortmund fans will need some time to get over the shock.

Want to know just how big a moment this was, and how much it meant to Liverpool? Listen to the call from club commentator Steven Hunter, backed by the reaction from club legend John Aldridge.

Yeah, that meant a lot. What a goal, what a game, what an incredibly special moment. This is one for Liverpool fans to treasure.
