Tottenham Hotspur head into their game against West Bromwich Albion on the weekend knowing they need a victory to keep their title hopes alive. Leicester City's 4-0 hammering of Swansea City on Sunday means they moved eight points clear at the top of the table, with Spurs' hopes of a late Leicester slip up looking ever more unlikely as the games progress. So far, the Foxes are holding their nerve.

Spurs need to beet West Brom on Monday if they’re to keep the Premier League title race alive.

However, Pochettino's side will surely hold up their end of the bargain on Monday against a West Brom team that hasn't won a game since the start of March. Their draw against Sunderland at the beginning of the month moved them up onto the fêted 40-point mark, and since then complacency seems to have set in. The Baggies will have to play extremely -- and uncharacteristically -- well to pick up anything away at White Hart Lane.
Key player: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)
England striker Harry Kane is in some remarkable form at present, and has netted eight goals in his last six Premier League games. Having scored 24 times in the league this season, he's leapfrogged Manchester City's Sergio Agüero to the top of the scoring charts, though his lead remains only a couple. He'll doubtless be hoping to extend his buffer at White Hart Lane on Monday.
Recent history
These sides drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture at the Hawthorns back in December, with Tony Pulis' side having proven typically resolute defensively. Indeed, the Baggies have been something of a bogey team for Spurs recently, and have only won one of their last five matches against West Brom. Not since January 2012 have West Brom been beaten at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham Hotspur injuries and suspensions
Out: Nabil Bentaleb (knee). In doubt: Clinton N'Jie (lacks match fitness).
West Bromwich Albion injuries and suspensions
Out: Chris Brunt (knee); James Morrison (hamstring); Alex Pritchard (ineligible). In doubt: None.
Spurs boss Pochettino has no new injury concerns, with their only confirmed absentee being midfielder Bentaleb. He’ll likely be joined on the sidelines by N’Jie, who continues his return from a long-term layoff.
West Brom will be without veterans Brunt and Morrison, while midfielder Pritchard is unable to play against his parent club.
