The second Copa América Centenario quarterfinal takes place in New Jersey on Friday, with Peru taking on Colombia at MetLife Stadium. The Peruvians were reliant on a slice of luck to beat Brazil last time out and progress as group victors, with replays showing that Raúl Ruidíaz's winning goal was the result of a deliberate handball. However, they don't seem to mind, and will now turn their attention to another giant killing.

Peru take on Colombia in the Copa América quarterfinals on Friday.

This Colombia team is certainly not as strong as the one that shone at the World Cup two years ago, though they head into this game as favorites. That's despite the fact that they succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to Costa Rica in their final group stage fixture -- a result that enabled the United States to gratefully surge into top spot and bag themselves what is theoretically an easier quarterfinal tie.
Peru will be hoping for another big performance from striker Paolo Guerrero, who became the nation’s all-time top scorer when he netted in their 1-0 group stage win over Haiti. Colombia, meanwhile, could prove difficult to stop, with star men Carlos Bacca, Juan Cuadrado and James Rodríguez having all shown well in the tournament so far.
