Belgium were one of the favorites for the European Championships coming in, but as they head into their second group stage match against the Republic of Ireland, they have more questions than answers as to how far they can go on their journey. They lost in embarrassing fashion to Italy in their Euro 2016 opener, looking extremely poor and unimpressive in the process. They need to turn things around massively if they're going to be the same Belgium side that breezed through qualifying, but that won't be easy against Ireland.

Ireland earned a big draw against a Zlatan Ibrahimovic-led Sweden side to give them some momentum, and a similar performance against Belgium could put them into position to take advantage of their opponents’ poor form. If that happens and Ireland win, the world’s fans will be stunned -- who would have thought when the groups were drawn that we could see Italy atop this group with Ireland in second place and Belgium without a single point after two games?
